Personal Development

How do we strengthen our resilience and manage in times of crises and continue to work with the challenges of the past few years and the impact that this has had on our wellbeing, community and planet? If we are to become more resilient, we must adapt and evolve and develop practical, emotional and spiritual skills to help support ourselves.

We can learn to create the conditions that allow the development of your optimal ‘self’ and make a difference for yourself and others. We all have a responsibility to use our personal power to teach, learn, change and create a place where we can share knowledge and practice.

We provide a potential space for like-minded individuals, to discuss, participate in meditation practices, visualisations, mindfulness, development groups and healing groups and learn about the subtle energy systems. We have a range of workshops on offer over the next year.

The workshops provide a window to unique and often intense psychospiritual experiences. Through this window you can develop insights in your ‘higher self’ and the significance of spiritual emergence.

Working with our issues

The practice of working with our blockages through meditation allows feelings to arise and to observe them with awareness. We can use the opportunity to learn directly about anger, fear and desire, to learn how to feel them without being identified with them, resisting or being caught up in them. This takes quite a bit of practice, as all sorts of past situations can arise and manifest themselves. The mind has been untrained for decades and the process of beginning to work with it requires a willingness to be present with experiences we would usually run away from.

It can be difficult to work towards a balanced kind of awareness that is needed for inner exploration. Meditation is more of a passive attention where the active component is simply your observations. It does not include deciding or choosing. When we look at attachment and realise that we are not going to live as nuns or monks we have to come back and integrate our lives in the world. Our thinking mechanisms have to be engaged, reflect about our life, looking at money, looking at the particular needs of our society and how we are going to live in it. There is a need to accept that we are limited beings in a physical reality, which must be faced for the heart to open and the mind to come fully back into the world.

Difficulties in working with our issues

Behaviour patterns develop over time and attending the workshops can support developing the skills and tools and put into practice what is learning, in working towards a healthier way to express emotions and treat one’s body with compassion and respect.

Each individual, has their own unique spiritual signature and there are different ways of experiencing as we can all experience in similar ways or in different ways. These experiences are unique expressions of human potential and the realisation that is unique to the individual. We all have the simple power to explore within.
